1. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text records stored by a browser. Web applications can also use localStorage, sessionStorage and similar browser capabilities. We use these technologies only where needed for requested features, security and user preferences, or—where you choose—to understand use of our public site through optional analytics.
2. Essential and functional storage
| Purpose | Examples | Choice |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication & session continuity | Tokens/session state needed to keep an authorized user signed in and attach authorized API requests | Required for signed-in features |
| Security | Session/security state used to protect requested services and prevent unauthorized use | Required where the function is used |
| Interface preferences | Theme or other locally saved display preferences | Functional; can usually be cleared in the browser |
| Privacy preference | bp_privacy_consent stores the versioned browser-level consent choice; bp_privacy_analytics is retained for backward compatibility | Needed to remember your privacy choice |
Clearing browser data may sign you out, reset preferences or cause the privacy choice to be asked again.
3. Optional Google Analytics
The public Bayes Pharma website can use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site interaction. Optional analytics are disabled by default. Bayes Pharma loads the Google Analytics integration only after you choose Accept all or enable analytics in Manage preferences. Selecting Reject non-essential keeps analytics disabled.
If you later withdraw analytics consent, Bayes Pharma stops future optional analytics collection through this control, updates analytics consent to denied and attempts to remove Bayes Pharma analytics cookies that may already exist. Analytics is not required to use public pages.
Our implementation also respects a Global Privacy Control signal as a deny preference where relevant, unless you later make a contrary affirmative choice in that browser.
4. Duration
Storage duration varies by purpose. Session data may expire when a session ends or according to security settings. Local preferences can remain until you clear them or change the setting. Optional analytics cookies, when permitted, follow the analytics provider’s configured lifecycle, subject to browser and service controls.
5. Your choices
On your first visit, where the consent banner is shown, you can choose Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage preferences. You can change or withdraw your browser-level analytics choice at any time through Cookie preferences in the website footer or on Privacy Choices.
6. Third-party resources
Some public pages may load third-party resources such as web fonts, icon libraries or linked services. Those providers may receive ordinary network information such as IP address when the resource is requested. Their own policies govern their independent processing. Bayes Pharma’s analytics consent control specifically governs the Google Analytics integration described above; it does not disable resources that are technically necessary to render a page or a third-party service you deliberately open.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our browser-storage practices or vendors change. We will update the effective date and, where required, renew or expand consent choices.
